Indicator Systems

The section on Indicator Systems for this module has three sub-sections that provide insight into how to develop an indicator system as part of performance measurement. The sub-section on Alignment suggests that indicators must be aligned with an organization’s policy to measure fulfillment of commitment. The sub-section on Standards introduces generally accepted indicators that an organization might use to make its reporting comparable with other organizations. The sub-section on SMART introduces a set of characteristics to help ensure that an organization’s indicators are of a high quality.
